Frankli started as a running list of Boise recommendations sent to friends. It got long enough that a website made more sense than another text thread.
Why this exists
Boise grows fast, and most of what gets written about it is aimed at visitors. Locals need something different: what opened last month, which patio has shade at 6pm, where to take out-of-town family, and what is happening this weekend that is actually worth the parking.
So we keep showing up in the same places, eating the same meals twice, and writing it down. If a recommendation is here, someone went.
How we pick things
- We go in person before we recommend it
- We say what a place is good for, not just that it is good
- We skip the hype cycle and revisit favorites
- Sponsored content is labeled clearly, every time
