Boise events, September 11 to 13

This weekend has a genuinely rare lineup. Art in the Park kicks off its 72nd year, the Broncos play their home opener, and the Old Idaho Penitentiary fills up with vintage motorcycles instead of history tours. Here's how it all breaks down.

Boise events this weekend, day by day

Friday, September 11

• 🎨 Art in the Park opens its 72nd annual run at Julia Davis Park, 10am to 8pm, over 200 artists, live music, and food trucks spread across the park.
• 🌍 The World Village Festival opens the same day at JUMP, 4 to 10pm, a free multicultural celebration of dance, music, storytelling, and food from communities across Idaho.
• 🎗️ The 9/11 Miles of Remembrance Run takes place at Ann Morrison Park, 5 to 8pm.
• 😂 Comedian Fortune Feimster performs at the Egyptian Theatre at 9:30pm.

Saturday, September 12

This is the busiest single day of the weekend by a wide margin.

• 🎨 Art in the Park and 🌍 World Village Festival both continue, the latter running 10am to 10pm.
• 🎃 The Boise Fall Festival and Kids Discovery Expo take over Expo Idaho, 10am to 4pm. Enjoy fall photo ops, inflatables, a petting zoo, and a cider tasting garden for the adults.
• 🏍️ Party At The Pen opens at the Old Idaho Penitentiary, 10am to 5:30pm. This is billed as the Northwest's largest vintage motorcycle show, with vintage cars, tattoo artists, and vendors filling the old prison yard and cell blocks.
• Out in Kuna, 🌽 Lowe Family Farmstead opens for the season. Formerly known as The Farmstead and now in its 30th year, it features a corn maze, hayrides, and a pumpkin patch.
• In the afternoon, 🏈 Boise State plays its home opener against Memphis at Albertsons Stadium, 4pm, the first ever matchup between the two teams.

Sunday, September 13

• 🎨 Art in the Park closes out its run, 10am to 5pm, your last chance to catch this year's show.
• 🏍️ Party At The Pen also wraps up, 10:30am to 3:30pm.
• 🎭 The Heart of Robin Hood continues its run at Idaho Shakespeare Festival.
