Boise events, September 18 to 20

This is the single busiest festival weekend of the month, arguably the year. Boise Pride, Hyde Park Street Fair, the Indian Creek Festival, and the Boise Scottish Heritage Festival all land on the same three days, alongside a home football game and a 25th birthday party for bugs. Here's how to actually plan around it.
Boise events this weekend, day by day
Friday, September 18
- 🏳️🌈 Boise Pride Festival opens its 37th annual run at Ann Morrison Park, gates open at 5pm and the night runs through 9:30pm. This year's theme is "Louder Than Fear," park entry is free, though the performance area is ticketed.
- 🎭 The same evening, Hyde Park Street Fair opens at Camel's Back Park, 4 to 9:30pm, the North End's arts and music tradition since 1979, always free to enter.
- 🦁 Zoo Boise also opens its gates after hours for Roars and Pours, 6 to 9pm, a 21-and-up evening with live music, a zookeeper chat, animal encounters, and free carousel rides.
- 🚣 The Indian Creek Festival kicks off its 23rd year out at Indian Creek Plaza in Caldwell.
Saturday, September 19
- 🏈 Start the day thinking about the evening, Boise State plays South Dakota at Albertsons Stadium, kickoff at 8pm. Everything else runs all day around it.
- 🏳️🌈 Boise Pride hits its biggest day, gates open 10:30am, park entry stays free with a $10 cover in the ticketed area after 6pm, and the night closes with a fireworks show at 9pm.
- 🎭 Hyde Park Street Fair continues, 10am to 9:30pm.
- 🚣 The Indian Creek Festival keeps going too, featuring its famously entertaining cardboard boat races.
- 🏴 The Boise Scottish Heritage Festival runs 9am to 5pm at Expo Idaho.
- 🐛 Bug Day takes over the Idaho Botanical Garden, 12 to 5pm with last entry at 4pm, celebrating its 25th anniversary with more than 20 learning stations, live insects, microscopes, a silent disco, and a 30-foot slide.
Sunday, September 20
- 🏳️🌈 Boise Pride closes out with its parade at 10am, starting near S 13th and River Street, crossing the Boise River, and ending near Ann Morrison Park, where the festival reopens afterward, free all day with no tickets or covers.
- 🎭 Hyde Park Street Fair wraps its run too, 10am to 6pm, last chance to catch this year's fair.
- 🏴 The Boise Scottish Heritage Festival closes out its weekend at Expo Idaho, 9am to 4pm.
